INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EVALUATION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1. Where do we send medical records and x-rays?

2. Do you schedule Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) nationally?
A: Yes. We provide IMEs and Record Reviews nationwide.

3. Do you provide access to the consultants, if needed?
A. Yes. Please notify an InMedical, Inc. representative at the time of scheduling and we will set up a time for you to conference with the consultant.

4. Do we need to organize the medical records before sending them to InMedical, Inc.?
A. No. For your convenience, InMedical, Inc. will sort and organize all medical records for you.

5. Are there other ways to schedule IMEs besides by telephone?
A. Yes. There are a variety of ways to schedule IMEs. You can place an order online at the Schedule an IME page on this web site, or fax our online form to 262-785-8009.

6. What is your typical turnaround time for reports?
A. InMedical, Inc.'s goal is to provide our clients with a final report within ten business days after an IME and within ten business days from our receipt of records to be reviewed. Often our clients receive the final report within five to seven business days.
 
7. What if I need the report sooner than ten business days?
A. At the time of scheduling, please notify an InMedical, Inc. representative that you need the report immediately. We will make every effort to deliver the final report in keeping with your time constraints.

8. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. Yes. A late cancellation occurs when an appointment is cancelled with less than three business days' notice. If a patient does not attend a scheduled appointment, it is considered a no show. There is a fee for both a late cancellation and a no show.

9. Do I need to notify InMedical, Inc. prior to sending a Record Review?
A. No. Simply send the records to InMedical, Inc., and we will forward them to the consultant of your choice. If you don't have a consultant in mind, InMedical, Inc. will select an appropriate specialist for you.

10. Are InMedical's consultants board certified?
A. Yes they are all board certified.

11. Are InMedical, Inc.'s consultants practicing?
A. 90% of the consultants InMedical, Inc. works with are practicing. If your case requires that the consultant be practicing, please notify an InMedical, Inc. representative at the time of scheduling.
